Did anyone watch Bank Balance – a game show hosted by Gordon Ramsey?
I was glued to it every night as it represented the importance of having a clear game plan – A STRATEGY!
Contestants who had a strategy from the start fared much better than those that were making decisions as they went along.
Some started off with a strategy and were skillful in adapting it as the game progressed and presented new challenges and threats.
Those with no strategy found themselves in trouble very early on by which point they were doomed to failure.
Contestants were in teams of two – and communication was much clearer between the teams with a strategy, as both were on the same page. Those teams without a strategy were soon bickering and blaming each other when it went wrong.
All great lessons in why a business should have a strategy.
